A jewelry appraisal is a document that details the approximate retail replacement value of a purchased item. Written appraisals are generally required by insurance companies to insure jewelry and watches. Orion Fine jewelry provides complimentary insurance appraisals for items purchased in our store. For a nominal fee, we also provide appraisals for items not purchased in our store. All appraisals are performed by a GIA Graduate Gemologist. The appraisal includes a detailed description of the piece, weights and measurements, photo, and replacement value.
